Sand Scape

Concept for a contemporary installation in urban public space

Sand Scape is an installation in the landscape. Vertical elements are placed systematically throughout the site. As visitors move through the installation, their relationship with the surrounding environment and their perception of the space changes.

As visitors walk towards the center, they experience a sense of enclosure and compression. As they move from the center towards the outside, the space gradually opens up. The elements become less dense, views expand, and a sense of openness and freedom emerges.

Through this transition between enclosure and openness, compression and release, Sand Scape transforms the perception of public space and invites visitors to experience the landscape through their own movement.
